Contrast baths are a technique based on the use of hot and cold water, alternatively. It is used more for the treatment of extremities but in some cases and for the rest of the body.

With these baths, vasoconstriction and dermal vasodilation can be caused successively. All this creates a stimulation of the local circulation at the level of the member receiving the treatment. With this stimulation of the circulation a better recovery of the damaged areas is obtained because all the necessary nutrients and fibers regenerate better.

This procedure is performed with the help of 2 containers containing water at different temperatures. The first container will have hot water, between 38 and 44ºC, and another cold water, between 10 and 20ºC.
